This was a very trendy hotel. The interior designer should be applauded as every detail was considered. The location was great - close enough to the downtown that you can easily walk to dinner or for a night out, but far enough away that you wouldn't be bothered by the nightlife. It is close to the shipping yards so the view isn't great but there is so much to look at and appreciate inside it's not a problem! The pool is one of the largest I've seen, and they have a pool lift for anyone who might need it. Their gym is also one of the best hotel gyms I've ever seen. The rooms were clean, a nice size, and the staff were nice. Street parking was difficult to find but the valet service was reasonably priced and quick.
Absolutely wonderful stay in NL! It was my first time visiting; everything from the staff, amenities and rooms were great. Short distance to the mean streets but just far enough to be out of the DT core. Would have been nice if there was a little patio/terrace to enjoy the view and wonderful weather in the summer and a water station to refill my water bottle instead of going down to the bar/resto in the lobby but not a deciding factor for me. An amazing new addition to downtown St. John’s!! The new building and the renovations to the original building are absolutely incredible!! The music vibe is just fantastic and the hotel is very chic! Staff were all very friendly and the rooms were clean and very comfortable. Location is perfect… just a short 5m walk to the bars / restaurants and harbour walk. The breakfast at Exile restaurant was delicious and the coffee / pastries at JAG Java were scrumptious!! The spa and pool were great, and the gym is one of the nicest I’ve seen in a hotel! We don’t travel with kids, so we were very happy to see that kids were only allowed in the pool from 9-11… this really allowed us an opportunity to relax in the pool and hot tub during our time at the spa. I definitely didn’t expect this hotel to be as nice as it was. They have everything covered from the spa, the restaurants to the incredible decor and the great service. We would definitely stay there again, and highly recommend.
