I was attending a wedding in Geldern and loved this hotel. Amazing , calm environment with very friendly staff. Recommended if you are around in the area. #dishtapproved

It's a decent hotel. Downsides are it's somewhat mediocre breakfast buffet and the complete lack of any non-German channels on tv. The low score is because of the absolutely dreadful beds. If you want to use matrasses that are only 1.9m long the least you can do is give a heads up to tall people (I'm 1.98m tall). Instead I was left to my own devices and had to deal with a bed where I could either twist my neck by sleeping with my head against the solid wood headboard or try to sleep with my ancles and feet dangling in mid-air. I ended up fashioning a bed on the floor out of desperation. If you run a hotel that's useless for even slightly tall people, at least have the decency to share that information upfront! Edit: I'll have to reply here since I can't respond to the owners message. I am 1,98m tall and was at least 5 cm taller than the matrass according to my wife who helped me check before posting my review. Unless you're suggesting I had another growth spurt at age 37 it seems highly unlikely that your reply was in any way truthful. The review and low score are staying up.
