A really fabulous overnight stay for work. Beautiful room (the Blue Room), lovely sheets and towels, everything British/Welsh made and how lovely to have a mini fridge with fresh milk for tea! Peace and quiet on a work night. Just what was required. Excellent value too.

Perfect location for travelling to both ysbty cwm cynon and keir hardie health park whilst also being close to town and many supermarkets. The room was beautiful with a stunning view and also the bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was nice and clean and the kitchen was perfect. Couldn't ask for any better thankyou for the stay.

If privacy is what you are after, look elsewhere. Very thin walls mean you will be hearing what other guests are doing. In our case that was the next door couple being noisily intimate with the door open. The garden view from the Rafters isn't that pretty - there are hills in the distance that are nice to look at, though. The room is decorated nicely with a lot of quirky additions which make it nice - however several bits are now somewhat tatty (wood panelling falling off walls, mirror in bathroom has backing peeling off, mouldy sealant in the shower etc). The site we booked through listed it as 4*. That was not what we experienced.
