Janus Boutique Hotel & Spa

We stayed in the Aphrodite Room; we were very impressed with it - it was big, with high ceiling, beautifully decorated, with a romantic atmosphere - ideal for couples. The hotel itself is very special; the SPA is big, beautifully decorated and fully functional. The inner garden is charming indeed. The breakfast was delicious and with plenty of options. Would definitely recommend, and will book again soon.

We stayed here for a week. Pros: - Very good location, both short walks to a center and a Balaton lake. - Nicely decorated hallways and rooms - Kind staff at the reception and at the breakfast always willing to help and speaking English and German - Free parking if you can find a spot in front of the hotel - Pretty good wellness to use if it's raining outside (steam sauna was not working though) - Free coffee machine in the dining hall Cons: - Located near a railway, so that if you mind sounds of trainstation, probably ask for a room away from there, we didn't mind - The breakfast was a big disappointment, low quality and a small range of foods to choose from, orange juice was good though - We did get a room service only once in the whole week despite hanging the sign to clean it on the doorknob three days continuously (after telling the receptionist, we did get one, he apologized for the cleaners) - Ever present sense of filthiness, spider webs everywhere, not cleaned windows, places where there was no cleaning in years - For the price and the 4* given to this hotel we expected and are accustomed to more - We visited one of the restaurants they partnered with, but we weren't told at the reception that you need some kind of coupon which left us without a discount We were a little disappointed, would not come back again, but if you don't mind the things I mentioned as "cons", than you'll be OK.

Maybe next time clean more. We have spider web in room. But wellnes and breakfast good. Maybe different room can be better. But price is little bit high for this
