Jardim Suspenso Da Babilonia

The Hanging Gardens of Babylon, which dates back to around 2,500 years ago, is believed to have been situated on the banks of the River Euphrates around 50 km, of Baghdad. King Nebuchadnezzar II, who wanted to make his wife Armytis happy because she didn't like the Babylonian desert, is said to have built this wonderful monument. As per historical findings, the Hanging Gardens, with outer walls measuring 56 miles in length, 80 feet thick and 320 feet high, find mention in the ancient Greek scriptures. The name is believed to have been derived from an inexact translation of the Greek word kremastos, which meant overhanging as in the case of a balcony. Though there are disputes about whether the Hanging Gardens really existed, archeological findings have revealed that there used to be a foundation structure of a palace at Babylon. Research continues even now to ascertain whether the ancient wonder of the world really existed.

The place is amazing, and the chalé we booked have indoor pool, jacusi, fireplace and whole kitchen with all appliences needed. The breakfast os dellicious too.

I visited the place with friends and children, but it's certainly not suitable for kids. Breakfast starts at 9 am, which is quite late, and the accommodations inside are not child-safe. Overall, considering the high price, I expected more of a glamping experience, but instead, it felt like a typical chalet that are abundant in the area. What really marred the trip for me was the abysmal service. The person I communicated with on WhatsApp was rude and unhelpful, taking excessively long to respond. Upon arrival, they hadn't prepared the second bed as requested; the staff member even falsely claimed that I had declined it. It was 11 pm and we had no place for the children to sleep. It took a prolonged argument to finally get them to bring the bedsheets. This poor service completely ruined the experience for me.
