Jardins de Bakea

Very friendly hotel staff who sold us some bread when we forgot to buy before our long hike. It saved our day in the mountains.

Lovely welcome to a superb family - run hotel. Friendly, smiling staff, incredible restaurant, superb food - dinner and breakfast. Comfortable room, lovely queen-size bed, air conditioning and small balcony. Sadly weather not good so we were unable to enjoy dinner on the patio. Would definitely go back.

We absolutely loved the food in the restaurant and the attention of the staff who are friendly and speak good English too. It did get very busy towards the end of the evening so we had to skip a couple of drinks to save us waiting to be served (we had to be up early the next day). The room was quite modern, clean, with a comfy bed and really nice bedding. The bathroom was amazing - with some complimentary toiletries, a powerful hair drier and soft towels. A heated towel rack meant we could dry our clothes. Although not a five star, it ticked all the right boxes as a one-night stopover on our "across the Pyrenees crusade". There is WiFi too, which was fantastic as, compared to many others we have stayed at, this seemed to be a rarity. The hotel has a beautiful garden to stroll around, with comfy garden sofas and sun loungers dotted around. There's an outdoor restaurant area too - quite romantic on a summer evening.
