The location isn't ideal, but this is easily one of the best hotels I've stayed in in Cambodia. The rooms are nothing short of stunning, with properly operating hot water heaters (😍!!) and excellent air conditioning. The decor of the lobby was a tad kitschy (attempting to be opulent) for my tastes, but front desk staff were incredibly helpful and attentive to my needs - especially the stunning young ladies who assisted me with check in, late afternoon of my arrival. I wish I had planned to stay longer. Also, Grab meal deliveries have vastly improved since the last time I was in Cambodia.

We were regulars to this hotel from when they opened. They were much better in the past with nice breakfast. As the crowd start coming in, customer service dropped. Breakfast wasn’t as good. 2 lifts to serve the majority of floors and when many rooms are booked u have to wait for quite awhile in order to enter. Rooms at the top are affected by loud booming music from pub at sky bar. Unable to have an early night’s sleep. 3 televisions in the room only 1 or none working. Electric cut out at certain time at night while kids were showering. Total darkness.. Recently a fire broke out around midnight in the emergency staircase. We were on the 28 floor and evacuated our rooms to rush to the lobby. As the choking smoke filled up the corridors. No fire alarm was heard and although I pressed a fire alert switch it looked like a decoy and just fell apart. No announcements were made and at the lobby were only a few of us from the 28floor. Found out that the fire was on 16floor and was a small one.. imagine if it were a real big fire what would’ve happen? Service crew tried to cover up and told us to go back to our rooms. We waited till the pungent smell of smoke was gone before going up again. Kids were traumatised by the event as they had already gone to bed and woken up abruptly. And another incident, house keeping left my room door wide open. I do not know how long as we came back at night and to this unpleasant surprise. Housekeeping tried to push the blame to us saying they saw me tap the card to go in. Which made me even more furious! Room was filled with mosquitoes due to door being left open and making complaints to reception fell to deaf ears as they said will be made known to management next day. We managed to get the management and they knew nothing of it. As usual sweeping it under again. This is a serious security lapse for a ‘five’ star hotel. Thankfully I didn’t leave any valuables in the room and didn’t lose anything. I doubt I’ll retrieve anything if it were stolen. Hotel looks grand and good on the outside, but their security lapse is something they really need to work on. Together with their stuff attitude and training to handle emergency issues. I doubt I’d return after these incidents. For those planning to book this hotel, do it at your own risk.

Poor front desk service. No safe in room. Breakfast was poor and most food trays empty. This hotel will deteriate very fast. Skybar decking in poor repair with lots of wires showing. Deposit was higher than advertised. Not catering for westerners.
