Quite a nice hotel. Rooms are clean, new bath fittings it seems. Food is also great, great option to have dinner, prices are reasonable. I had one huge issue though ....some people arriving around 1.00 am and then chatting in lobby for 30 minutes and making noises. Absolutely no consideration for other people.
Pleasant hotel very close to the Turin airport. So close you would think they have a shuttle. But they don’t. But they should. Fairly easy walk but parts on a main road so you really don’t want to wall with bags. Taxi was 15 euro.
In one word : bad. We were looking for a simple but comfortable place to stay overnight, before taking a flight early in the morning from Torino Airport. Let's get it straight : location is perfect (5' drive from the airport's departures) although one entrance is hard to find (next to the Burger King restaurant), car parking is secured onsite with protection from rain and bed is comfortable. That's it, for the rest it has just been disappointment after disappointment: - Service was beyond terrible : slow at the reception (a young woman being alone), other customers almost yelling as their requests were not heard (I do not blame anyone, but I noticed it quite a few times on less than 24h spent there, so I suspect some management issues). - Our room did not come with 2 sets of towels even though we booked it for 2 people (through Booking.com), frustrating when in the bathroom you are just looking for spare towels. Reception could get it for us fortunately. - Elevator looked like it came from Middle Age. We called it the first time with our luggage on the ground floor, it took 5' to come and we instantly regretted it as soon as we got in. It was clunky and slow, we decided to use the stairs afterwards. - Cleanliness of the room could have been better, as I noticed some hair on the mattress underneath the bedsheets. This is not up to a 4* hotel standards. - Overall, the place looked like it was "empty". Decoration was very cold and strange, hotel is definitely in need of a fresh coat of paint and some modern renovation. - Lastly, a completely ABSURD situation which made our short trip even worse. At around 9 PM, the fire alarm went off in the whole building. Thinking there was a fire, we walked down the stairs, leaving our stuff behind in the room. When coming out from the main entrance, no one was there. We waited 5' - some customers also went out, being lost and waiting for instructions. Then 10' passed, the alarm was still on and customers/waiters from the main restaurant (left aisle) were still acting as normal, staying inside and enjoying their meal. I was desperately trying to find someone from the staff, to ask what was going on. After 15', we saw people from the hotel walking inside the reception. Apparently, they did not know how to turn the alarm off! The young receptionist was welcoming guests in this blaring atmosphere. How did we know this was just an alarm malfunction and not real smoke? After 30', the alarm finally went off. But no one from the hotel came to apologize or declare we could go back safely to our room, with an explanation of the underlying reason the alarm went off. This is just a dangerous behavior towards anyone in the hotel, including the staff members.
