We didn't stay here but we had our lunch on our way back to Gangtok from Yumthang valley & Zero Point. It's clear that this is one of the best hotels in Lachung. While coming back, it was afternoon already & we had a 5 hrr arduous journey to Gangtok. Whole North Sikkim was deserted due to the permits not being issued for tourists. Fortunately, we found this hotel and the restaurant was open, no one else were there. The food options were limited, but we got served some delicious momos & fried rice. Thanks for the courteous staff to allow us & serve us. We thought the hotel was closed from outside.
The stay was outstanding. We enjoyed the food, especially their Manchurian balls were delicious. The staff was very hospitable. Highly recommended.
We came across Jewel Kongchen Retreat and Spa by chance while driving and decided to stop for lunch as it was raining. The ambience was beautiful, and the view from the restaurant was absolutely stunning. The food we ordered was quite delicious and well-prepared. The only downside was the waiting time — it took about 30–40 minutes for our food to arrive, which felt quite long. Apart from that, it was a lovely place to relax and enjoy a meal amidst beautiful surroundings.
