Stayed here many times. Popular hotel for weddings so often very busy at the weekends with wedding parties. Very convenient location. Staff have very limited English but try to be helpful. Some rooms showing wear and tear, but they are slowly refurbishing the rooms. Some guests smoke in no-smoking rooms (common in China). Decent breakfast buffet. Evening meal buffet is overpriced. The river area and Confucius Temple are about 15-20 minutes walk away. 1912 street is 30 minutes on foot or 10 minutes in a taxi. Wifi/internet is temperamental - but you are in China.
When asked about some things, they always give friendly answers, which is not common in mainland China.
