The hotel’s cleaning staff are so friendly especially the third floor’s cleaning lady, she reminded us about the rainy weather in the afternoon and even got us disposable umbrellas each! So lovely, this hotel deserves a good rating for its prime location near the bund and eateries that open till 12am along the bustling street below our hotel:)
Great location right next to the Bund yet had a clean and quiet room. Free water bottles by every elevator and amazing breakfast, both Chinese and Western style. Highly recommend staying here.
Pretending there's an aquarium or a fountain in the room because the sound of water flowing - in a room on the 8th floor without an outward facing window - is never quiet. Checking in was bad. The hotel is in the zone where CARS ARE NOT ALLOWED. You'll be schlepping all your luggage in from a block away, then up the stairs. No ramp. Lobby on the 2nd floor. Check in was bad. I bought breakfast. When I enquired about it, the person yelled NO BREAKFAST!!! When I replied that i had purchased it, she looked it up and gave me two pink pieces of paper. Then I had to return downstairs for the wifi code because they didn't give that at check in, either. The beds are HARD - the mattress is like 90s Yellow Pages. The room has LEDs and mirrors everywhere, It's bright in here when it's supposed to be dark. The bathroom takes up 40% of the space. If you're looking for a soak-in tub in the middle of the room, this is the place for you. The sink does not have warm water. Breakfast was fine. I'm about to try the shower for the first time, hope there's hot water there. Amenities are good, appreciate the water bottles. Location - other than having to haul 2 weeks worth of business wear, PPE, and weekend wear for a block in the rain - is good. You're not in the Bund, you're by the Nanjing shopping malls. I can't say it's charming, but if you like commercial areas? You're golden. Editing to add that yes, the shower has hot water (the sink - in the middle of the room - still does not. The hotel also no longer has a lounge. You're not getting an adult beverage here, no matter what the ads say.
