Jo An Beach Hotel

My stay at this hotel was truly amazing! The entire staff is incredibly kind, helpful, and always welcoming. A special thank you to Michael, who stands out not only for being great at his job, but also for his charisma, sense of humor, and the positive energy he brings every day. The food was delicious, with lots of variety and rich local flavors – special greetings to Chef Fotis for the incredible meals. Everyone working here makes the experience even more enjoyable. The only thing I would slightly improve is the hair dryer in the bathroom – it heats up quickly and doesn’t work that well, but it’s just a small detail compared to how great everything else was. We stayed at Jo Ann Hotel in Crete for two weeks and truly enjoyed every moment of our stay. The rooms were comfortable and clean—currently undergoing renovation. We were in one of the older rooms, but we got a glimpse of the newly renovated ones, which looked modern and beautiful. Hopefully next time we’ll get to stay in one of those! What really made our stay special was the exceptional staff and the amazing dining experience. The variety of food options was impressive—plenty of choices for everyone, and everything was delicious. The staff at the restaurant were always attentive, ensuring we were happy, satisfied, and well taken care of. Special recognition goes to F&B Manager Niki, who is constantly present with a hands-on, professional attitude. She clearly leads by example and is well respected by her team. It’s wonderful to see such teamwork and passion in action. Chef Fotis also made a fantastic impression. He frequently asked for feedback and genuinely cared about making our experience the best it could be. His food was both diverse and absolutely delicious! We wish we could name every team member, but here are just a few whose warmth and service stood out: Popi, Aga, Riwa, Stella, Klea, Mike, George, Panagiotis, Christos, Melina, Dimitris, Manos, Dimitra, Chrystalenia, Nikos, Geloki, Georgia—and many more whose names we, unfortunately, can’t recall. Every single one contributed to making our stay feel special. Thank you, Jo Ann Hotel, for your hospitality. We’ll definitely be back!

Love holidays changed our hotel last minute and we ended up in Jo an beach. There was only one bar meaning you had to walk up from the beach and pool to get a drink. Ridiculous in the heat. The dinner hall was very small and it was always a struggle to get a table and you often had to queue. When you could get a seat you couldn’t get moved for people and you often had to ask people to tuck their chairs in which was difficult when no one spoke English there. When you did get to the bar you often had to wait a long time for a drink. The all inclusive drinks were 5 cocktails and flat beer. Terrible. You are not allowed to take drinks to your room. Never heard this in any other hotel. There was no entertainment on and no music even at the small pool. This hotel is for people aged 60 plus. Do not go here if you are young and want to have fun. The hotel is in the middle of no were. The bus only comes once an hour as and when it feels like it. We wasted £800 for this holiday. To leave the hotel and you have to pay 80 euro is terrible aswell. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for anyone.
