Joel Hotel

You can't go wrong with Hotel Joel on Pag Island, Croatia! My family and I are having an absolutely fantastic stay – it's a solid 10/10 from us. The service is top-notch, and the staff are incredibly friendly, always going the extra mile to make us feel welcome. And the food at the restaurant? We were absolutely blown away! The lamb chops are the best I've ever eaten, and the octopus was amazing too. It's clear this hotel is really well-run by its Croatian owner, football player Dejan Lovren – you can feel the passion and dedication in every detail. If you're looking for an unforgettable experience on Pag Island, Hotel Joel is definitely the place to be!

This Hotel is perfect for couples or married people but the baddest choice for festivals (spring break, fresh island and more), in general for singles! The hotel and the apartment are beautiful. The breakfast is bad and the main reason why I can't recommend this hotel is that you are not allowed to bring friends in the hotel for example predrinking. Also from the evening to the morning they check on a list of hotelguests if you are allowed to enter the hotel or not. Even after a few days staying in the hotel they should normally recognize us. Last but not least some positive traits: The cleaning service did a really good job and the whole staff is friendly. The pool is nice, the terrace, the view and the food as well. But the two stars rating is because we were three friends and can't get the nice holidays as we thought it. Outside it was lit but this hotel never gave us our earned happy end!

My stay at this hotel was one of the worst I’ve ever had. Firstly, The guy at front desk wasn’t very friendly. He gave absolutely no information on the hotel (the pool, pool towels, breakfast times, dining options etc.) we got no information on the island or activities we could do either. Then he had the nerve to ask us to pay the security deposit in cash after we clearly stated that we only had credit cards. Secondly, the key card didn’t work so we were given a key. One night we invited friends over for a drink the guy at front desk came knocking and told us that our guests had to leave NOW. That was so embracing. I won’t be going back to this hotel and don’t recommend it either.
