had a pleasant stay at this hotel, thanks to its excellent location and welcoming atmosphere. Pros: The large deluxe room had a stunning ocean view, making for a truly relaxing experience. The beachfront property allowed for easy access to the shore, perfect for morning walks and sunset views. The environment was calm and peaceful, ideal for unwinding. Breakfast was fantastic, with a great variety of delicious options. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making the stay even more enjoyable. Cons: The room was slightly damp, which could be improved for better comfort. Overall, this hotel is a great choice for a relaxing beach getaway, with beautiful views, great food, and warm hospitality. I would definitely consider staying here again!

Fantastic Stay at Joe’s Resort Bentota! We had a wonderful experience at Joe’s Resort. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, and the location by the river was beautiful and peaceful. Great food and excellent value for money. Highly recommended!

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a mixed experience. The hotel premises were ok, quite pleasant — the landscaping, lobby, and overall ambiance created a relaxing environment. However, the food was a major disappointment. The quality and taste were far below expectations, and the dining options were limited. Definitely chef needs to be alternated. Guess he doesn’t know the standards and the taste of Nasigoreng and seafood fried rice. They don’t have Basmati rice at all. If you’re considering this place, it’s great for the stay itself, but I would recommend eating elsewhere. Also need to mention the attached bathroom in the room was not water sealed. Floor was getting wet time to time. However the staff person named Krishen was helpful and tried to sort out the issues we had. But need to highlight again the food was HORRIBLE!
