Johannesburg Marriott Hotel Melrose Arch

I really enjoyed my stay at the Johannesburg Marriott Hotel Melrose Arch. The location is excellent — it’s in a gated area, so I felt 100% safe at all times. There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby, and it’s a very comfortable and relaxing area to walk around, even at night. The hotel itself is modern and stylish, with a clean, well-designed room and a super comfy bed. Breakfast was great with a good variety. The M Club was a nice space to unwind, although the selection of food and snacks there was quite limited. Still, it had a quiet, exclusive vibe which I appreciated. The only downside was the front desk service — the staff didn’t seem very warm or welcoming. However, the driver who picked us up from the airport was really friendly and helpful, which left a good impression.

Not sure if it's 5 5-star but it's very nice and clean. It's safe. Very important to say that in Johannesburg. The food is ok. I especially liked their unique gluten-free bread. The staff are pretty nice and try to help. You can walk around, but not at night, maybe. Be careful.

The rooms were perfect. We had both a 2 bedroom and a 1 bedroom. Both were always clean and spacious. Service was phenomenal!! Some of the best I have seen. From the front desk, to the restaurants to the Marriott club, we were met with great service everywhere. The Location was amazing! You were able to safely walk in the Melrose Arch area to shop or grab a bite to drink very easy. That made a difference in our trip. Just be mindful the area does shut down earlier than you would expect. The breakfast buffet was GREAT and well worth it. Enough for everyone to find something. The restaurants for lunch and dinner were great. And the Marriott club came in clutch. HIGHLY recommend and would stay there again!
