We always stay at jouhayna hotel when we go Erbil. Rooms are clean and tidy. Staff are cheerful and breakfast is sufficient. Location is the best because we can find every shop for every need nearby.
I have not stayed at this hotel, however I've been there and did events in the hotel's ballroom. I have had contacts with the admin and thus as a b2b contact. The hotel shall not be rated as the highest and the best in town. It is a 4 star hotel in Erbil. This means that it could be clean, with good stuff in the rooms, but not the best in terms of services. Moreover, the breakfast in such hotels of Erbil really depends, because the food supply chain is new to the city and can easily affect restaurants. The hotel is located on one of the main roads of Erbil, not very close to the city center and not very close to the main park. However it is located in what is called the gold zone. For business people, they walk to most of the company HQs. Moreover, with a 15 min walk you can also reach the main city's park. When it comes to the city center, in Erbil there is no active public transportation but Taxi is relatively cheap. You can easily through Carem or Uber get a taxi and reach the city center in a matter of 10 minutes. It is also close to the airport and my experience with their ballroom back a few years ago was amazing.
Good hotel but the location is far from any facility. Good size room. No swimming pool
