Really a delightful experience. The rooms have gorgeous furniture. The private hot springs are well maintained and they didn't seem to have an issue with my wife using them with her tattoos. The food was excellent for dinner and breakfast. I've stayed at a few ryokens and is say this was my favorite. My wife disagreed, but still enjoyed everything that was served. The town is a nice walk. There are 24 hour convenience stores and great coffee shops and ramen shops. The staff was very English friendly.

Around 30,000JPY including dinner and breakfast. The service is very good. The room is very spacious with modern furnitures and hardware with private ensuite natural host spring bath. The dinner and the breakfast are very good in terms of presentation and volume.

Service could be much improved at the reception. We arrived earlier and just wanted to place our bags as we are well aware of the check in time. The staff did not allow us to step into the lobby, despite having verified we have a valid reservation record and verifying our passport. She is only willing to take in our bags. It is only after repeating that we need to unload some stuff from our bag [since is winter] and use the restroom that she allowed us in. This is the worst "welcome" I had experienced in all my stays in Japan, where we arrive earlier than check in time. For the rest part of the stay, service is average. Most staff seem to just want to make sure they say what they need to say to you. Other than service issue, food and room is fine.
