JR Hotels Gigli Firenze

The room is nicely furnished, spacious and quiet. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Parking lot is spacious and secured by a gate (not covered). The hotel is located in the industrial zone, but we never heard any noise at night. Access from the highway is easy. Breakfast has room for improvement (needs more varieaty and coffee machine was malfunctioning). Some towels had stains on them. Bathroom was not perfectly clean. Provided cups were plastic and not glass/ceramic. The small entrance hall within the room has a motion-activated light that was very annoying. When the light turns on, it stays for around 15 seconds, then turns off, even though you are there packing your suitcase. If you plan to go to Florence by train, there is a nearby train station (cost is 3€ and goes once every hour). However, keep in mind that the last departure from Florence is before 21:00. If you want to come back later, the next departure is around 00:30. For the time in between, the train stops at a station that is around 3km from the hotel (not a very pleasant walk in the night).

I stayed one night 3 weeks ago. Horrible room, filthy bathroom ceiling full of mold, dirty shower, (it was better taking a shower with a scuba dive suit on for not touching anything in the shower), broken A/C, dirty walls.....thank God it was only one night. I am a travel agent and would never recommend this property to my clients. I would upload the pictures but don't see an option.

not sure how this is a 4 stars hotel, i wouldn't even give it a 1 star. there was a dead fly and stains all over the room. when was the last time the room was even cleaned? there was even a jacket that looks like it has been left in the wardrobe for a long time. do the staff even check and clean the room? the aircon was also making lots of weird noises throughout the night. never felt safe in this hotel the whole time. WORST HOTEL i've ever had the misfortune of visiting.
