JR Hotels Oriente Bari

Fairly decent hotel. The rooms were decent, but the rooms were not soundproof. We were unable to sleep on most nights, especially on Friday night. Loud noises, cars, shouts , ambulances, sirens and car horns were constant until at least 3.00 am. I f you prefer to sleep at night, choose a different hotel.

I don’t know what hotel the other travelers visited but our experience was quite different. If you want a dated musty smelling hotel then this is the one for you. We had to change to a different room on the last night because the AC, which they control, was so hot it was unbearable to sleep not to mention the rock hard pillows. There is no one to greet you as you walk in, the woman behind the reception desk looked up at us, not even a buongiorno. There are so many better options in Bari, please avoid this hotel. The only positive I have is the dining room staff who are very hard working and we appreciated the hot cappuccinos at breakfast.

Apparently in 2025 this hotel, can only be booked if you hold a credit card or debit car… if u hold a rechargeable, or Revolut or atm card from your oversee account , you can’t book here! First try to book from their web site , twice denied, contacted them via IG, got automatic answer with their mail address, sent a mail, and the mail come back because wrong… I made a call, they send me a link via mail, again same problem, I called back again, I ask to make a bank transfer, they said cannot, because I arrive in 2 days, but bank transfer take more than 2 days to be received!! I’m traveling Italy since 3 weeks from north and I’ve been booking already 9 hotels, and this is the only one unaccessible The worst thing, the receptionist over the phone not even willing to find a solution for you! Welcome to Bari hospitality how they called 4 stars…. . This review will be delete only after I will be contacted back from someone who has management and decision skills!
