Had a lovely stay at Juichi-an! Amazing location, a 5 minute walk from Kiyomizu-Goji station and close to Hōkan-ji temple and other major attractions. The home was pretty large and very comfy. Highly recommend staying here!
Quite large for a Japanese house, clean and perfect location!
The base of Rokuharamitsuji Temple An inn named Juichi-an after the Eleven Arhats. It's a secluded old private house typical of Kyoto, entered through a narrow alley.The tenement-style building has been renovated, but the Goemon-style bath remains. As you walk around the neighborhood, you'll find similar inns here and there. Perhaps it's popular among foreigners, but the owner is also a foreigner. 3 bedrooms: 2 Japanese-style rooms, 1 Western-style room The good thing is that you can choose according to your preference. The power switch is a pull string type. A nostalgic event. You can prepare your own meals, and enjoy Kyoto's specialties such as vegetables and tofu, making it ideal for a reasonable trip. Supermarkets, tofu shops, butchers, and shops that serve restaurants are also nearby. I will suggest a live-in trip.
