Really impressed by the spa zone and the Thai Massage that I tried today! If you are looking for an escape and moments of pure bliss and relaxation, definitely book some time for yourself at the spa zone. The infrared sauna also looks amazing and I can’t wait to try it next time.
We recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a good experience – we enjoyed our time there. The atmosphere is young, relaxed, and welcoming, and the location is excellent – very central and within walking distance to many key attractions. One of the strongest points was the staff – extremely friendly, helpful, and always available. Their service was outstanding and made a positive impact on our stay. The room had a nice, modern look and it’s clear that a lot of money was invested in technology and design. We also appreciated the complimentary soft drinks and coffee machine in the room – a thoughtful and enjoyable touch. That said, there were a few things that took away from the experience. While the room looked luxurious, it wasn’t always practical. The bathroom, in particular, didn’t quite live up to the design of the rest of the room. The bathtub looked fancy and relaxing at first glance, but something about the setup made it less inviting, and we didn’t feel drawn to actually use it. Breakfast was another weak point – quite minimal and not really worth the added cost. Given all of this, the price felt a bit high compared to the overall value, especially if breakfast is included. In summary, we had a good stay with great service, a perfect location, and some nice room features – but there’s room for improvement in practicality and value for money.
Lovely new hotel, very chic looking. We got the penthouse suite and it was quite nice! The location is ideal as well. The service, however, is lacking. To call itself a 5 star hotel is misleading. This is a solid 4 star hotel. There is no real concierge, the people who work there do not go out of their way to make you feel like they are there for you, and there were a number of mistakes upon checkout that were quite surprising coming from a “5 star” hotel. For example, though we booked a room that included breakfast, we got two different messages from the front desk about whether or not that was included. Then, we were charged for it! That’s just one example of several. I found the people working here were not friendly, for the most part. It is a true boutique hotel. If you are used to 5 star service the likes of Rosewood or Four Seasons, lower your expectations for this hotel. Other reviews here about the breakfast were confirmed. Though there is a menu, the selections were thin. Sofia is lacking in true 5 star hotels, but this is a decent substitute at a 4 star level.
