Just Sleep Ximending

Our 5 days stay at their Superior Family was fantastic! The room was bright, cozy and inviting with an ergonomic design. Our children absolutely adored. The bed was super comfortable, ensuring we had a very restful sleep. Everything was spotlessly clean and very well maintained, which we greatly appreciated. The staff were consistently helpful and quick to respond to our needs. Families will particularly appreciate the thoughtful amenities. There's an activity room stocked with toys and books, offering a much-needed break for kids from the hustle and bustle of sightseeing and shopping. We also loved the complimentary tea break area with wooden toys and a football table, a perfect spot to chill. The hotel's location is excellent, just across the road from Ximending, making it super convenient for exploring the area. For vegetarians and vegans, there are 3 vegetarian eateries just a 5-minute walk away, and the breakfast buffet clearly labels its vegan offerings. While our overall experience was excellent, there are a couple of small areas for improvement. It would be helpful to add labels for porridge condiments. Additionally, I found the vegetables to be a bit under-seasoned. When I provided this feedback, I was told the seasoning was toned down because other strongly flavored (meat) dishes. I do hope they will consider adjusting this to ensure the vegetarian options are just as flavorful.

I was thoroughly satisfied with my stay at Just Sleep Ximending. The room layout was well-designed and made movement within the room very convenient. Lighting was excellent—bright yet comfortable. Although the air-conditioning was unusually cold during the first two nights (for unknown reasons), once I informed the front desk, the staff promptly came to inspect the room and immediately offered a portable heater. By the third day, the temperature returned to normal. The breakfast buffet was impressive, with a wide range of choices and generous portions. Most notably, the staff throughout the hotel were exceptionally polite and proactively helpful at every stage. Their warm attitude made a big difference in my overall experience.

I stayed for two non-consecutive nights and encountered different issues at both check-ins. On my first stay, I was offered early check-in before 3 p.m., only to find construction materials left in the room. I requested a room change and was given a not thoroughly cleaned room on another floor. One of the plastic water bottles had been partially consumed and was left in its original position. On my second stay, the set of key cards provided did not work on the first try. I had to bring all my luggage to the reception and request that they update the key cards again. After the issues during my first stay, the staff promised to be more careful with the room on my second stay. However, apparently, getting the key cards right was not part of that commitment. I am very allergic to fragrance and had a bad reaction with the fragrance diffuser disguised as a rock on the the coffee table. Please be aware of you are allergic.
