JW Marriott El Convento Cusco

We loved our stay at El Convento Cusco. From the moment we checked in, the service was impeccable. Every employee was friendly and accommodating. The rooms are clean, the beds and pillows are very comfortable. The breakfast buffet is outstanding. The location is perfect for touring around Cusco, everything we wanted to do in the city was walkable. I wish they had queen beds rather than double beds, but double beds seemed standard around Peru. I would highly recommend this place for anyone traveling to Cusco. We all wished we had more time there!

My son and I stayed at JW Cusco and used it as a “base camp” for various activities in the Sacred Valley. The staff was incredible. We were treated like royalty. Rooms we spacious and well appointed. The restaurant served a great breakfast and there was always Coca tea available to help ward off altitude sickness. The spa and pool was great after hiking Rainbow Mountain. Highly recommend.

During my last two days in Cusco, we stayed at a charming hotel with beautiful decor, including a striking mural of Dante that adorns the entrance and much of the alleyway. Unfortunately, despite booking a room for three people, we were given a smaller double room. The space was quite cramped, especially with our six suitcases, and the bathroom was very tight. As a Titanium Elite member, I had hoped for an upgrade to a suite. That said, the service was excellent—friendly and attentive throughout our stay. The breakfast spread was decent, and I genuinely enjoyed it. The hotel’s location is ideal, right in the city center with easy access to restaurants and shops.
