JW Marriott Hotel Xi'an Southwest

Super modern hotel located on top floors of a skyscraper in the northern part of the city. Beautiful and stylish design of both coom areas and rooms. Lobby floor feels incredibly spacious with huge panoramic windows all around it but losing floors were of unusual height as well making the rooms appear even bigger than they were.

A modern luxury hotel befitting of the JW brand. Like many high-rise luxury hotels, the spectacular lobby was on the 38th top floor, and you would need to take another lift to go down to the rooms. It commanded an expansive view, but the view was not very interesting, just a vast flat cityscape. My room was very comfortable, well designed, and tastely fitted. The hotel was next to a small mall and a metro station for line 4 and only 4 stops to Xian North railway station. If going south, it would lead to Big Goose Pagoda. The hotel had a smart restaurant on the lobby floor with a good selection of Western and Chinese food. The hotel had deluxe and premium rooms, but they were exactly the same, differ only by floor levels, not by room size or quality. Since the lowest floor started on the 25th, it was hardly worthwhile for anyone to pay for the higher premium room prices, like silly me, lol.

This is the one in the north that's further from the city. Very close to underground station so still very convenient. Also it's closer to the suburban attractions like 華山 and terracotta army. The room had some minor problems but spacious and comfortable. The staff was excellent.
