My family and I visited this beautiful hotel and it was a MOST PLEASANT & COMFORTABLE STAY!! Such an awesome location!! We had 3 rooms and the front desk clerk assisting us made sure to place us beside each other without us asking (SUCH a plus!) Lovely, modern decor, super-comfy beds, wonderful showers, great city views (especially in my cornered room), pleasant and helpful hotel bellhops & valets, just WONDERFUL!! Only thing was that the heated saltwater pool was not actually "heated" when I went to it around 10pm, maybe because it was so hot earlier in the day... I was looking forward to basking in that warm water, but oh well. I still enjoyed my stay and the kindness of the staff!! Will definitely stay again when visiting New Orleans!!

The location of this hotel is great. You're right on Canal Street so you're within walking distance to a lot of the restaurants, bars, and stores. Every day the hotel has an activity to do. The rooms and bathrooms are spacious and up to date. They have a nice gym and pool on the 8th floor. There are tours that you can do through the hotel and receive a discount. The drinks and food at the bar are well-priced and taste good.

I would have given all 5 stars, but on my second day after house cleaning, my room smelled like someone was smoking weed in my room. I went to the front desk and all they said was sorry would you like to move. I said yes. They were going to move me 3 floors down. In order for me to move up a floor instead of down, I had to reduce the room size. So I asked if I could have my valet comped. The guy said, let me check then said yes. Upon receiving my bill, I was charged for one night of the valet. When I inquired about it, the front desk clerk said they normally dont give 2 nights of free valet for situations like that, so she didn't even know why I got that. As a non-smoker and a Platinum member of the Marriott, I do not feel as though I was treated as a valued customer. Also, its been 2 days since I returned home and have not heard from them about the one night of parking. The manager was in a "meeting" when checked out, so she was supposed to call me when she got out the meeting. At this point, I should receive that night free, plus a free night and the parking comped. My sinuses were destroyed for the rest of my trip there. For this to be a smoke-free hotel and me having bad sinuses and allergies, it just wasn't good. Other than that experience, the hotel staff at the front door and the bar were exceptionally nice, and the place is beautiful.
