Even though we haven't had the pleasure of staying in the rooms at the JW Marriott Savannah, it's always our top recommendation for visitors, especially for a trip to its incredible ground floor! This isn't just a hotel lobby; it's a jaw-dropping, museum-quality experience. Prepare to be captivated by the truly overwhelming collection of fossils, magnificent geodes, and, of course, the absolutely gigantic chrome dinosaur statue that dominates the lobby. It's a breathtaking sight that never fails to impress. You can easily spend a good amount of time just wandering through and enjoying all the natural wonders on display. It's such a unique and engaging experience that makes for a perfect outing in itself. While we've heard the rooms are quite luxurious (and certainly on the pricier side!), the lobby and its incredible exhibits alone make the JW Marriott a must-see in Savannah.
This is the best place to stay in Savannah. The location is perfectly central to where all of the action is on the river. The rooms are clean, the beds are more than comfy, and the hotel has tons of fun activities and good food! Even more notably the staff is incredible. We had a great experience at the check in desk with both Alex and Melissa. They are very helpful and possibly the most cheerful resort staff we have ever encountered. Thanks for making our stay more enjoyable!!
Beautiful hotel in the heart of Savannah’s Riverwalk district. The lobby is stunning, filled with crystals, fossils, and unique design elements. Rooms are modern and comfortable, many with great river views. The rooftop bars and restaurants are a huge plus, and the live music adds great energy. Only downside: it can get a bit noisy at night and valet is pricey ($54 a night). Still, a fantastic spot if you’re looking for a vibrant, upscale experience.
