I went on a trip with my husband here in May and cannot express how perfect it was for a little long weekend getaway. The service is a 10/10, all of the staff members greet you with smiles and a warm welcome, whether you're getting room service or a coffee at their cute cafe. The 24 hour gym is great, cabanas are perfect and the pool is awesome with an incredible ocean view - it was hard to get out at the end of the day! Loved the food at both of the restaurants, they had an awesome buffet situation for breakfast and great wines to choose from at dinner along with fresh and delicious seafood. You're a short ride to get to restaurants on both sides of the island as well. It's tucked away and quiet so the location is amazing. Would definitely go back!
We just got home from our trip (July 2025). The reason I gave it 4 stars is because they’re having a major problem with seaweed on the resorts beach right now. It’s not their fault and nothing they can do it about but I wish we would have been aware. It smells horrible and seaweed is piled in mounds on the beach. Also the hotel isn’t in a convenient location in my opinion. However it wasn’t a deal breaker for us. Just keep in mind it’s 20-30+ minutes to most popular locations. The rooms were very nice!! The staff was friendly. Overall it was a great experience aside from the seaweed issue.
This hotel did not hold up to the JW Marriott name and standards. We stayed here for a week in February. Service was not wonderful. The restaurant meals and service was not good. The only breakfast option again service was not good. The staff was not attentive (would sit there way to long with out ordering, water, or even waiting for the food, check etc), messed up meals, short with us. The rooms were clean, new and nice, but upon checking in they put us in a connecting room with a family with 4 kids who were up crying at night! The staff should have smart planning when placing rooms (the hotel was not fully booked at this time so it should not have even happened). Yes the staff moved us after they embarrassingly called the family at 10pm to make their child stop crying (which we asked the staff not to do, because it was a child, clearly the family was working on it, we just did not want our vacation to be disrupted). The hotel has potential but was a big let down and we would not return. The massages at the spa were good and the 2 women we had were wonderful!. Note if you stay here most restaurants on the island are over 30+ min away. (you will want to leave the hotel for dinners trust me)
