Very smart hotel, well located just outside Munich city centre. The bus stop was across the road from the hotel and the train and underground was a 2 minute walk away. Public transport was excellent. The rooms were clean and well appointed. The beds were also comfortable, only downside was the usual rubbish hotel pillows. A very nice continental breakfast was available from 6am-10am with a smashing choice of different items plus tea and coffee. Staff at reception and the breakfast area were very friendly and professional. Very good WiFi signal was available fee too. If visiting Munich again I would 100% consider staying at this hotel again. The only other small moan would be that they could do with one or two more decent English speaking TV channels.
The hotel is showing its age, and facilities feel more like a 3-star now. Breakfast is quite minimal, but the breakfast area is clean and pleasant. There’s no refrigerator in the room.
Originally booked a Spacious Family(their largest) room only to be given one of the "Cosy Urban" rooms, which they tried to pass off as the room I booked. I guess they have trouble in math because 18m' is not 28m' as per their website. It's a classic bait & switch move. Their attempt to pass this off as "not my problem" quickly escalated into a extremely unprofessional attempt to hide their deceit. I said I wanted to take a look at the Premier Urban room they showed on the website for the exact dates I had booked- to which I was told, wasn't available...I pulled out my phone and asked her to confirm who was lying to me - their website or her. Suddenly finding herself in a deeper hole, she tried to reiterate it wasn't her "problem." This is the level of service I got - so I would caution this is perhaps normal procedure for this place. I asked to speak to a manager on duty and the rude young blonde girl said there wasn't one -Thursday afternoon at 4pm and the hotel doesn't have a manger...perhaps just more lies. Another staff member was brought into the conversation, but it was only until I asked that they speak to me in English did it become clear these guys are crooks. He blurted out that the room number they had assigned to me was a "Cosy Urban" room - their smallest available. Not sure how many people would accept this but I would not. After an exhaustive argument with the blonde girl - she told me she had spoken to her manager and they agreed to cancel the reservation without the one night penalty. Which left us scrambling for alternative accommodation but it was better than staying there. In the Uber ride to our new hotel - I get a pop up on my phone that they charged my AmEx for the one night. I'll let them deal with AmEx on that, but this place should be "buyer beware." Don't say you weren't warned.
