We’ve just returned from a fantastic stay at Kakkos Beach Hotel. Without a doubt, the hotel fully deserves its 5-star rating – it far exceeded the standards of many other hotels in the same category we've stayed at. The service deserves the highest praise – every staff member, from waiters and bartenders to kitchen and reception staff, was incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. The hotel restaurant offers excellent cuisine – meals are varied, flavorful, and well-seasoned, so there’s something for everyone. Cleanliness is maintained at a very high level – tables are cleared and reset promptly after guests arrive. The hotel bar is efficient, with no long queues, and the drinks are beautifully crafted and delicious. The rooms are well-equipped with everything you might need, and the minibar is restocked daily. One big plus was the early check-in – we got our room right after breakfast, even though we arrived around 9 a.m. We highly recommend the Maisonette Sea View studio – the bedroom on the mezzanine and the morning sea view are absolutely stunning. There’s also an on-site car rental service with very reasonable prices. The hotel beach is set in scenic rocky coves, complete with free sun loungers and umbrellas – a true paradise for snorkeling enthusiasts. We’ve already recommended this hotel to friends – it’s a perfect choice for a holiday in south-eastern Crete. It shouldn't be so perfect because there's always something to improve. It would be nice to have coffee from a good coffee machine, not just the one served from a vending machine.
We just had an amazing week here. It's a beautiful location and the service is superb. The food was excellent with a wide, high quality choice at every meal. Had a slight issue at check in with a mix up on my booking. The staff in the hotel dealt with it well. (The person on the phone at Kakkos Reservations however, was rude, petty, pedantic, and just generally an unpleasant person to deal with)
Beautiful resort on the more quiet and less touristy south east side of Crete. We had the one week all inclusive package on the adult only part of the resort with a room with private pool. The resort has direct access to the beach and two beautiful swimming pools. With snowwhite buildings and cottages and lush green gardens it breaths a calm yet luxureous atmosphere. The food is good, the desserts are devine. The Cretan massage is a definite must.
