Kalapa Resort and Yoga retreat

I don't understand why there is so little talk about the free yoga classes here, they are seriously some of the best I've ever attended. Another great thing is that you don't have to check out until 12:00. In the restaurant you can enjoy delicious dishes, such as a tuna poké bowl or fresh smoothies. As many guests have already indicated, it is a quiet, green oasis, just outside the hustle and bustle of Canggu. I stayed in room 3, a beautifully decorated room with a spacious bathroom, rain shower and a large bath. Every evening incense is lit to keep mosquitoes away, a nice extra service. The only thing I missed was a coffee and tea station, and the mosquito net didn't close properly, so it didn't do its job completely.

It was overall a great stay for the price, very kind staff that heeded most requests, but always smiling and you find yourself always saying thank you! The facilities were in general great, but they did not change the bedding that often, and there were too many insects inside your room (at least our own). My wife got at least 10 bites inside our house, we would love for there to be a bit more pest control of some sort, but it can be tough when they make it feel like you're in a mini jungle inside the city!

I hate giving bad reviews, but I was swayed by the good reviews and I regret this stay. The whole establishment was swarmed with mosquitos. Okay so I get it, we are in a jungle. However the other hotels we stayed at had insect control. The bathroom was entirely outside. Imagine using the toilet while there is a mosquito trying to bite you in the ass. Not only that, but it was unkept. Stains everywhere (robes, sheets, linens). The only good thing about this hotel was the comfy bed. The workers didn’t seem interested or helpful. Sorry, would not recommend. I hope they improve.
