I was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience at Kalbarri Edge Resort. Travelling up to Exmouth Kalbarri resting right on the waters edge made an overnight there and back a great choice. Their dining menu was slightly expensive but the food was delicious. Staff enjoyed a conversation and they provided excellent service. I will definitely go back. Not fancy but clean and a well run little operation.
The room was nice and met all of our needs but what the problem is the customer service of all staff from reception to dining in. Me and my partner went into the restaurant at 8am for the continental breakfast to see nothing but toast and cereal with the place having zero staff, we buttered some toast not knowing that a fee of 18 dollars will be applied that was not brought to our attention at the reception. We got confronted by a short blonde older lady demanding room number and that no matter what this fee will apply but also explaining that there will be no hot breakfast food. The room was nice just everything else needs to do better!
The room was absolutely disgusting. soap scum on the shower, mould in the grout , dirty bath etc. We spoke to a lady at the front desk about this who was lovely but unfortunately management only decided to give us a 20% refund. not to mention we were told we would be getting a “full continental breakfast” when we checked in but the following day we were told there will be no hot food. we had bread and cereal to choose from.
