The bath is small, but the view was nice! The service was particularly friendly and perfect for families with children, and the facility was clean😊💛
The hotel is 3 stories high, on top of a small mountain. The rooms have great views and seem to have been renovated, but some of the layout is a bit odd. The worst thing about this hotel was that there was a large public bath on the third floor, but in the morning and evening, the smell of grilled meat and fish would come up from the dining area on the first floor at the entrance of public bath. The smell even drifted into the hallway of the rooms. Also, the parking lot was underground, and there was only a staircase from there to the first floor where the front desk was. However, the room rate was a good deal.
The hotel is very old and very isolated. There are no restaurants nearby and it is on top of a steep incline. On top of that, ironically, the staff is super unhelpful and didn't even bother to inform us we would need to book the hotel restaurant in advance. We asked on check-in if we could eat there and they pointed us toward some noodle bowls... but they neglected to inform us that these were only available from 9pm. My parents and I headed down to dinner only to be told we couldn't eat there. Impossible. Because this is Japan and let's just say that this hotel is not very flexible. It seems to be stuck in the 60's in regards to amenities, language barriers, etc. It has not been renovated since. The rooms smell, the corridor smells... I would not recommend staying here. It is just so sad. We ended up eating at a delicious yakiniku place nearby. We will need to take a taxi back. If you have a car and are desperate, consider it. Otherwise, leave it in the 60's where it belongs.
