Kandaya Resort

Stayed in a Beach Pool Villa. The room was brilliant. Had minimal interaction with the staff but what we did have was very nice. They were well informed, polite and professional. Some room for improvement on the accuracy of order and tastiness of the restaurant/room service, but it wasn't bad. A little bit out of the way, fine if you have a car though. Overall a very beautiful stay, wish I could have stayed longer, have every intention to come back in the future.

Huge property up north. Daanbantayan’s gem. Sophisticated suites and garden/beach pool villas. Swim by the shore or enjoy water activities in the morning during high tide and have a dip in your villa pool or the main infinity pool in the afternoon until early evening. The villas are pet-friendly (follow pet guidelines). We’ve always enjoyed our stay.

Location - If you need a retreat away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Kandaya is a solid choice. I recommend staying in either the garden or pool villa - nothing beats the serenity you’ll experience there. However, rooms need to be deep cleaned, especially their curtains. Food - The food was great. I especially enjoyed the stir-fried beef with broccoli, and their humba is seriously good. Their breakfast selection is decent as well. Service - This is the area that really needs improvement. For a resort rated as 5 stars, the service doesn’t quite measure up. The front desk staff weren’t welcoming, I had to wait three hours for the complimentary water on my second day, and the golf cart drivers didn’t even offer assistance or a ride to get around the property. Management should take a closer look at this.
