This shows up on Google as a 5-star hotel. While the accommodation is definitely 5-star this is not a hotel, it is an apartment. As we figured this out prior to booking and because we got a 50% discount we were extremely happy with what we got. I would definitely recommend it and stay there again.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Kanonicza 22, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, the staff went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was nothing short of exceptional. The reception staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, making me feel like a valued guest from the moment I stepped through the door. They were attentive, friendly, and eager to assist with any request, making the check-in process seamless and hassle-free. The true highlight of my stay, however, was the breakfast experience. The hotel's breakfast spread was nothing short of extraordinary. The variety of options available was impressive, and the quality of the food was outstanding. As for the hotel room, it exuded grandeur and elegance. The room was impeccably clean and tastefully decorated, with luxurious furnishings and attention to detail that truly made it feel like a 5-star accommodation. The comfortable bed, plush linens, and thoughtful amenities created an ambiance of opulence and comfort that made for a truly indulgent stay. In conclusion, Kanonicza 22 exceeded all my expectations for a 5-star hotel. The exceptional service provided by the staff and the delightful breakfast experience, coupled with the grandeur of the hotel room, made for a truly memorable and luxurious stay. I would highly recommend Kanonicza 22 to anyone seeking an unparalleled hospitality experience in a stunning setting.

Just avoid! At 350 Euros a night with tax one does expect a staff person who knows your coming and greets you nicely - This “hotel” is not a hotel nor is a bed and breakfast- they only have restaurant staff looking after any guest needs- The breakfast, served by a lovely young woman named Marcella, is just eggs with bacon or ham and some vegetables- no yogurt, no cereals no optional breads or fruit. Not her fault, but for 5 mornings very boring. (Please note she was super helpful in getting us what we needed- taxis, towels etc- and she takes care of everyone for breakfast including cooking it- someone should promote her!) There is a lot which falls through the cracks. Several have mentioned the young man who seems to be the head waiter (Lukas?) - he’s a bit of a mess in that every thing seems to be like more than he can handle or he’s irritated with this side of the business -We had a light flashing for two nights over our bed (smoke alarm battery wearing down- slept with eye mask on from the plane- not comfortable) - Something we should not have had to ask them twice to fix! or the fact when we arrive and he announces that we don’t need housekeeping the next day- didn’t even give the option if we want and housekeeping at all for our stay to ask in the morning (that doesn’t mean it will actually happen) - He was full of excuses when we came back and the towels we asked for were not there at 5:30pm (mind just asking for a fresh set of towels after 2 days not a full cleaning) - the housekeeping lady had other rooms at their other hotel to do before we could just get towels. On to the room- very comfortable bed and nice linens but, but of course, never changed during our 5 night stay despite requests after third night- The black room was so hard to see in but the furniture was comfortable if a bit over wrought in its theme. The location is top notch and street quiet at night- sound between floors is noteworthy if you’re looking for peace and there is a family above- Overall very “just ok” and not first class- for the costs look elsewhere!
