⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A perfect weekend getaway for families, friends, or anyone needing a little escape! We spent a weekend at Kanucha Resort in northern Okinawa, and it was everything we hoped for... beautiful views, friendly staff, and so many activities for everyone. From the moment we checked in, it felt like a real escape. Our room (Abian Beachside Cottage) was AMAZING with a great view of the sunrise over the beach! We started off with a delicious dinner at the Chinese restaurant Ryukyu... warm flavors and even warmer hospitality. Saturday morning, we tried parasailing over the ocean, and it was absolutely unforgettable. Later, we checked out the LUPiNUS wellness and amusement lounge... darts, billiards, a golf simulator, and some snacks that kept us going. It was the perfect mix of relaxing and playful. Cheryl and Teagan loved the arcade... especially the claw machines, where Cheryl snagged some Shisa squeaky toys (シーサー) to take home. And we had a blast in the photo booth with Teagan, capturing some great memories. Dinner on Saturday at Paradis was another highlight. They had everything from steak and shabu-shabu to taco rice and salads. Cheryl is vegetarian, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure she had a special pumpkin soup and veggie pizza (野菜ピザ, yasai piza)... that kind of kindness really made the meal stand out. The Thai massages (タイマッサージ) at the resort were incredible—Kato was amazing! We changed into special pajamas and felt completely refreshed afterwards, topped off with a cup of hot tea to bring it all together. Before heading to our final dinner, we checked out the go-kart track. Fast carts, great staff, and all the safety measures you’d expect... it still felt like a mini NASCAR experience and was so much fun for all of us. Our last dinner at the BBQ Terrace Kuuwa Kuuwa was the perfect end to the trip... Japanese Wagyu beef, Australian lamb chops, Yanbaru chicken, and Agu pork (アグー豚). Lana, our server, made sure everything was perfect and made us feel right at home. Kanucha Resort has something for everyone... whether you’re celebrating a special occasion or just need to step away from it all. We’re already talking about coming back. Highly recommend!
Kanucha feels like a hidden gem of a hotel because it’s far away from Naha/chatan, overall a great hotel has so many activities and it’s a very real estate. I don’t think I could get tired of the hotel ever. Side note: the beach play area isn’t so great. Went there 1 hour before closing and they were going to charge me full price for an all day pass that was going to end. Probably would be a 5 star if wasn’t for that.
It's a pretty solid place to stay 😀 Rooms are cleaning while taken care of! This may not be a big deal to some people but it's definitely worth a note, they have no microwaves or anything in the room. Basically no ability to cook any type of food if you're going out late coming back grabbing food make sure it's already precooked. You do have the option to use the microwave the one single microwave out of the whole facility at the souvenir shop underneath the gym. Find it very odd especially for the price that you pay for this rooms, we went during Christmas so they have the lights on it's pretty cool and they give you a golf cart to drive around. Of course the kids enjoyed the golf carts and depending on the room you get you can get a jacuzzi tub on your porch is well. The hot tub snd quiet hours is 11 pm.
