A little outside the city center, it offers that quiet, private atmosphere with the opportunity to take in the cave and regal life with the hotel recently used for a major movie. The breakfast spread is awesome with fresh Gözleme being made on the spot! Staff were very friendly, understanding and the options provided opportunities for spa, massage and swimming! Room was spacious with the views of the ancient buildings of key notice. Hotel has its own taxi service and they were extremely helpful in getting us around the city. Highly recommend to anyone!
Although this is a nice hotel, the location is not ideal, as it is far from tourist attractions. The view is not bad, but take note it is next to the freeway. According to bookings.com it is a 5 star hotel, but in our experience it was 3 star accommodation . With regard to the room, it was very spacious and the jacuzzi was wonderful. Unfortunately I got bit by fleas/bedbugs. Also 2 lights were out of order and the shower head was broken. It was sorted by maintenance at least. The staff were friendly especially Firdes. The included breakfast was okay, but their appetizers were delicious! The hotel has a spa with a Turkish Hamam. A must do! Will not stay here again.
My honeymoon at this hotel was a disaster. My wife and I had booked the Zeugma room with a private pool. About 30 minutes after checking into the room we decided to use the pool. While leaving, my wife was shocked by faulty lights on the floor and ended up with a deep cut in her ankle by scraping against the stone steps. In panic I called for an ambulance for her because she was bleeding heavily. The front desk lady who checked us in came in with a first aid kit to initially stop further bleeding. We let her know not to touch the faulty lights as she will get electrocuted. Without listening to our concerns she put her hand on the lights and ended up shocking not only herself by my wife again! She said sorry and shortly after the medics arrived and treated my wife and took her to the hospital for further treatment. At the hospital an unknown number which was the manager called me and told to not tell the police what just happened and the hotel will pay the fees. I said I need a full refund as well as night plans have been ruined for their incompetence. The manager said they will take care of us and I proceeded further. Nevertheless after 3 hours and coming back to the hotel I said I will not be staying in that room and we need better accommodations. They ended up downgrading us to a smaller room when we had just paid over $700 for one night. After taking our belongings to the new room I went to the front desk for my refund and the manager was no longer there and the new staff said they can't do anything about what just happened and that to wait till morning for the manager to come. The staff had no shame or decency in accommodating us and one staff member laughed at us when I was frustrated at their poor communication. Next morning the manager was no where to be seen but I saw the staff member who was also electrocuted. I was hoping that she given what happened will be better at customer service compared to the night shift but ended up denying getting shocked which baffled us. She outright lied about her own experience when earlier she was displaying some remorse in the middle of the emergency. She had no decency to even refund the difference between the rooms and hid herself until our check out time. This review is a fair warning that in the worst of times this hotel will not be accommodating and treat you like second class citizens. We hope this review helps others avoid similar problems.
