Nice location great view however the beach is very rugged and is sort of left to its own devices. Walk less than a mile along the beach to a lovely little enclave beach which you can easily walk into the sea. Really nice hotel, lovely staff all round. Very helpful. Breakfast and daytime buffet restaurants are very good. However the evening meals are sometimes upcycled from beef stew to beef casserole then into beef curry. Brilliant dessert options with custard and bread and butter pudding awesome.
For what we paid for this hotel I’d say it’s a solid 4 stars and great value for money. On first arrival we weren’t too sure - but once we got into the holiday we saw what the hotel had to offer and we were happy with our stay for the price. The food was excellent - really good quality food on offer and lovely local dishes too. The pools are excellent - the water park pool especially for the kids and the lazy river was brilliant. The indoor pool was a lovely touch as well, as was the well equipped gym and the spa facilities. The room was big with everything we needed for a weeks stay, as well as a lovey sea view. The service was friendly and professional. Evening entertainment was as you would expect from a family hotel in Cyprus. Overall, I can’t really fault our stay. There is free basement parking too, and the location for nice beaches and a nice area for food / drinks / supermarket during the daytime / evenings is great.
We recently stayed at Kapetanios Aqua Resort on an all-inclusive package and had a very mixed experience. On the positive side, the restaurant waiters were outstanding—professional, attentive, and quick to clear tables. The reception staff were also very helpful and responsive. The aquapark with water slides was a real highlight for our family, with attentive lifeguards and plenty of swimming toys provided free of charge, which was a lovely bonus. The entertainment team, especially the lovely and hardworking girls, added a nice touch with evening bingo games, although the overall entertainment program could be improved with more family-friendly competitions. However, the food was very disappointing, with a limited menu focused mainly on basic English-style dishes like bland chicken nuggets, undercooked burgers, and soggy pizza. There was a complete lack of authentic Cypriot cuisine, which was a missed opportunity given the location. Drinks were limited to cocktails, local beer, and wine, but unfortunately tasted watered down. The biggest letdown was the housekeeping service. Despite leaving tips daily, our room was not cleaned properly—dirty glasses were never collected, toiletries weren’t refilled, and I had to request shampoo from reception myself. The hotel’s location on a hill made walking difficult without a car, and the view from our room was just a wall. Additionally, the nearby beach was not suitable for swimming or sunbathing, which was disappointing. Overall, the hotel has great potential, especially for families with children, but it needs significant improvements in food quality, housekeeping, and entertainment to offer a truly satisfying all-inclusive experience.
