Karribank

We loved our weekend stay at Karribank. The weather was amazingly kind to us and sitting outside at the Garden Bar, watching the sun go down to great tunes, lovely rural outlook and an excellent local wine choice was a real treat. Menu was limited but there is enough variety to enjoy for a few days. There is a fine dining restaurant coming soon and we look forward to returning soon to sample what's on offer. Very chill atmosphere and we both slept very well in the rural serenity and super comfy bed. Staff were amazing, friendly and very accommodating. Highly recommended and will be back for sure...

Myself and 3 other lovely ladies look for somewhere different to have coffee and cake once a month. This month we chose Karribank. We had a wonderful drive out from Albany taking in the lush green countryside backdropped by the Stirling and Porongrup Ranges. It’s winter so it was cold outside. When we arrived at Karribank, where none of us had been before, we got a really pleasant surprise, it was great to see a setting like this going ahead in uncertain times. The owners have done so much work and have many amazing ideas in place, we wish them well. There were chalet style accommodation buildings dotted about, an animal enclosure with the most gorgeous highland cattle calf’s frolicking about and a children’s playground. We entered the bar area to order, meals could be had in the cafe/bar, in the formal restaurant or outside. We chose the very cosy room where we had entered with log fires burning at each end of the room. A couple of our group are gluten intolerant so we had called ahead of time to ensure options were available, they were, and they were delicious, one of our group chose a sausage roll, they were enormous. Coffee and tea we also enjoyed in stylish cups and mugs and quaint milk jugs. There are steps at the front leading to the reception /dining area, but for those unable to do steps, there is a flat entrance but driving around to the back. We had a great time, setting and service very pleasant. I’m sure we will be back.

Stayed for 3 nights during winter rooms where nice warm and heated, rooms had a homely feel with great veiws to match. 2 adults stayed might be a bit small with kids. The cafe is a nice and cozy vibe, great cinnamon and coffee. The service from Michelle was fantastic. For dinner we ate at the resturant both nights. We had goulash and the chicken curry, both of which where superb. Second night we had the roast beef nothing too fancy about it just nice and simple tad more gravy or even a touch of mint for the peas would of been great. I understand that this place is just starting to ramp up, keep up the great work on your dream. Will stay again best of luck in the future.
