Arrival and Room The hotel driver picked us up at the airport. He was very friendly and helpful. We arrived quickly and were upgraded to a bigger room on the 38th floor. Hotel and Room Details The hotel has two floors in a tall, beautiful tower. The elevators are fast and the service is great. There are no closets or storage space in the room, but we managed fine. The room has a coffee machine with capsules, tea, a kettle, and bottled water. There's a big comfy bed, a fun hammock, a lovely bathtub, a small fridge, mirrors, nice lighting, and a huge balcony with an amazing view of the city and the sea. Location and Atmosphere It’s only a 5-minute walk to the beach and a large mall with everything you need. Breakfast is not a big buffet, but you get just the right amount of food without overeating. The hotel is full of art and architecture books, and the design is clean, modern, and minimalist — perfect for fans of artistic neo-brutalism. The hosts and owners, Sergo and Julie, are very kind and happy to help with anything.

Excellent fully equipped accommodation and superb service. Ocean and city view is great from balcony. Very close to the beach and shopping centers and restaurants. Julia and Sergei treated the guest as family members at home.

⭐ KARTULI Hotel: Where Hospitality Took a Vacation. If you ever wondered what it feels like to stay somewhere that forgot “guest” is a part of the word “hospitality,” welcome to KARTULI Hotel, Batumi. Check-in felt like a hostile interrogation, with staff who clearly wished I’d never arrived—bonus points for zero smiles and maximum eye-rolling. The lobby ambiance? Think waiting room at a government office, but less inviting. My room was a nostalgic throwback to the 70s—but without any of the charm. The wallpaper was peeling like it couldn’t wait to escape, and the bed springs sang louder than the local nightlife. Air conditioning? Might as well have left the window open to let in the city’s symphony of car horns. Breakfast was a minimalist masterpiece of stale bread and coffee so weak it might’ve been water. Would I recommend? Only if you want to test your endurance and your ability to politely smile through disappointment.
