Kasa River North Chicago

Excellent roomy apartment. Love the floor to ceiling windows. Great locale (walking distance to Mr. Beef!) and multiple trains. Recommend. Especially for longer stays. We never used the kitchen. The service score is lower b/c it’s not a hotel. There just isn’t much service to speak of, but the coffee was good at the shop.

This was our first time staying at a Kasa residence and we were very pleased with our experience. We were a family of four so we really like to stay in condo units but that are professionally run (not air bnbs) and we were super happy with our experience with Kasa. We loved the building. It was a great location and you could pretty much cab anywhere in downtown Chicago for about $8 to $10 from the building. It had a rooftop pool and an excellent workout facility. The unit was large and comfortably fit a family of four. It was a modern building with lots of windows and natural light. Service was great. I found they were faster at responding to emails than text. I also loved that you could pay a bit extra for late check out if it was available. Overall we would definitely stay at another Kasa location in a different city.

Overall mixed but a great value if you use the kitchen. Pros: Kitchen has everything you need; functional and thoughtfully considered. Location. Pool. Nearby parking (app) is cheap and convenient. Cons: (queen studio) Curtains don't darken, they are privacy only. Bed quality is poor. The HVAC was poorly designed, the vent is next to the return so a corner is well conditioned and the rest of the space isn't.
