Kasbah Alili

We stayed at Kasbah Alili for a work trip. For us it was the place to have breakfast in the morning and come home to late at night. For this purpose I found it an ideal place to stay. Good to know: if you are visiting Marrakech for a city trip you have to go to the city center with a taxi. The food we had ad Kasbah Alili was great, also the vegetarian options (make sure to reserve meals well in advance so the staff can prepare) and very friendly staff. Artisanal Eats by D is very close by and a nice spot for lunch or dinner.

HORRIBLE. STAY AWAY. ROOF IS LEAKING IN THE ROOMS. I rarely write this kind of reviews BUT Kasbah Alili did disappoint me like no hotel before!!! First the hotel rooms are very simple and honestly too modest given the price especially for Morocco standards. But the worst is really that when we were there is rained a lot and literally WE HAD RAIN DROPS FALLING ON OUT HEADS that woke us up in the night!!! We signaled the issue and suddenly the manager who “could not give us another room because it full” (we had asked already) suggest us go in another room…at this point we had only a couple of hours of sleep left (early departure yo catch our flight). So we pushed the bed in the middle of the room to avoid the rain… the next day I asked of course for a compensation given the horrible experience and they just downplayed the situation, denying my request while honestly it is the only right thing to offer to your customers after such a bad experience. Catastrophique! One of my worst experiences in Marrakech. The rooms are dark and unwelcoming with small Window. Very old fourniture. The bathroom was smelly and the water heater broken, i had to shower with intermittent boiling water. The garden not cared for and full of dirty chairs and tables. Even the pool was brownish. Not even offering a breakfast after a late check in. They dare to call themselves a hôtel!! Shamefull
