I've visited Katberg Resort twice now and both times the service was exceptional. Going the extra mile for guests is the standard. Being in the most beautiful setting with so much history also helps to make you look forward to many more visits.
I would give 7 stars if I could. We stayed in a self catering house for three nights with my family and pup. Dinner one evening at the hotel. The house was lovely with a beautiful view of the mountain from the veranda and the eco estate and golf course on the other side. The house is well equipped and the beds and percale cotton sheets soft and comfortable. Robert and the team went above and beyond to make us comfortable and feel spoilt. The hotel gardens are beautiful and our little forest walk to lovers rock was easy and gorgeous. While we chose to rest and enjoy the mountains and a lovely fire, there is so much else to do. It was absolutely amazing and I recommend you give them a try. Thank you so much for our lovely holiday.
We visited Katberg over December 24 an January 25 and we had a wonderful time. The rooms, service and food was great. The only two downfalls were the pool which was green and dirty for the first two days and we felt that day visitors should not be allowed as we pay a lot for a resort holiday and the use of facilities and they are taken over by day visitors. We will definitely be coming back.
