I had the pleasure of spending a night with my family at Katiliya and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The room was extremely spacious and came with excellent amenities, providing us with both comfort and convenience. The staff went above and beyond to be helpful — not only during our stay, but also from the moment we made our booking. Their warmth and attentiveness truly made a difference. We will definitely be returning to Katiliya for our next trip to Chiang Rai.

Amazing mountain resort. Staff friendly & attentive. I was offered an upgrade to a newer suite but preferred the traditional due to its architecture & sunken bath. Also received free breakfast during my stay. The free courtesy shuffle between my room & reception/restaurant was a simple phonecall away. Only downside was the price of the meals, very expensive for Thai standards. When driving from the south (Chiang Dao - Chiang Mai) ignore Google maps recommendations to use road 1130. It's a narrow 2 lane road overgrown on both sides effectively making it one lane one. It is a dangerous winding mountain road..

This is a nice hotel nestled in the mountains, offering a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature. The environment is lovely, and you can truly feel the calm and beauty of the outdoors. Service is generally acceptable — standard but nothing particularly outstanding. The restaurant experience was quite average, possibly due to the low season with very few guests. Food options were limited, and service could be improved. Overall, if you’re looking for a quiet escape to unwind and enjoy nature, this hotel is worth considering.
