Extremely Disappointed – No Security, No Guest Protection Our stay at Kaya Artemis was deeply disappointing, especially considering it is advertised as a luxury resort. First, people from outside the hotel constantly came onto the private beach and used the same facilities as paying guests. The day before a major incident, someone stole my slippers from the beach area. I reported it to the staff and explained the entire situation, including the fact that non-guests freely access the beach and facilities without restriction. The biggest issue? There are no bracelets or visible signs to differentiate paying guests from outsiders – so anyone can come and go as they please. This is completely unacceptable for a supposed 5-star hotel. The next day, while we were in the sea, outsiders took our sunbeds, threw our belongings on the ground, and used our towels. When we confronted them, they were aggressive and disrespectful, saying “this is our country, we sit where we want” and told us to go find somewhere else to sit—even though we had been there since morning. What shocked us even more was the complete lack of hotel staff or security to handle this. No one stepped in to help. No one is checking who belongs on the property. This hotel does not provide the safety, respect, or comfort that paying guests deserve. If you value your peace of mind and expect any form of security or exclusivity, do not book this hotel.

In hotel Kaya Artemis we were four consecutive times, however this year we were deeply frustrated. There are plenty of improvements, talking about the variation of food or additional “VIP” services. Nevertheless the cons are more significant. The mixture of customers has changed drastically and the whole complex feels more low-budget than luxury. To demonstrate my point I would mention a Sunday incident. Three locals first stole our towels with sun-loungers. Then we spot them at the dinner in swimsuit and all the beach bags next to them. Afterwards we saw them leave the hotel around the main building to the near car park. Additionally at the lobby bar we have found another family, with flip flops and wet swimsuits in their bags, ordering drinks and then taking car keys and heading the same direction as the group mentioned before. It is not only annoying, however people get afraid of losing personal belongings. The hotel is full of employees who just pretends to be working and having no single suspicion about these weirdly looking groups of locals. The facilities are still looking fabulous, however they haven’t changed for the past years and some rooms need to undergo a restoration in terms of bathroom seal etc. Four times and enough, we are so disappointed of what has happened to our beloved accommodation at Cyprus.

We spent a few days at Kaya Artemis. The conditions at the resort are fairly good – the rooms are decent, the food is varied, and the overall facilities are satisfactory. However, our main reason for choosing this destination was the sea, and thankfully, the clear water and fine sand truly delivered. Unfortunately, the beach experience was disturbed by large groups of local Turkish visitors who come daily. They leave trash behind, are loud and sometimes rude, and often take over sunbeds and personal spaces without any consideration. They do consume from the hotel bars, but no one seems to care about them.
