This hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. We stayed at this hotel along the path from the Grand Canyon to Colorado. The gift shop had the normal items and also takes the payment for the onsite restaurant. The room was clean and smelled nice. The beds were comfortable and the AC worked. The pool was warm almost to the point you did not need a hot tub. Remember this is the desert and it is hot! We had the pool to ourselves in the evening. It was very clean and relaxing. The restaurant was nice. The hot wings and club sandwich was delicious and very reasonably priced. There is limited places to roam in the area if you are looking for entertainment. In our case it was more about relaxing after several hour drive in a clean and safe environment before we continued our journey. There is a little museum outside the hotel with some history for those who are not aware of the area. I would recommend this hotel to any who are traveling and want to break up the LONG drive to and from their destinations.
We travel between Mid-Colorado and Phoenix quite often. We tried this Hampton starting in 2019 and have stayed both coming and going to Phoenix. We’ve always felt safe here and love the restaurant. Every evening meal has been excellent and the staff are wonderful, at check-in, at the restaurant, and at the gift shop. 24 hour On site security is now provided to make you feel safe, though I’ve never seen or heard anything of concern. Not even from the wild horse pack that was looking for handouts in the hotel parking lot! (It was so cool!)
Whole family torn from our sleep at 4:30am by a piercing alarm and flashing lights inside our room. Young children terrified. Then alarm stopped. No one came around to tell guests what happened, or whether we are safe. When I went to the front desk myself I was curtly told it was a false alarm, with no explanation or instructions. No one assured me the building was safe for my family until I explicitly asked. They acted like they were mystified about why I was there asking them dumb questions. If you want your trip ruined this is a great place to come.
