Our first trip to Kusadasi is the best in terms of price and performance. The rooms are very clean and have a view of the harbor, the breakfast is quite sufficient, the location is great right next to the old bazaar. If you don't want to give up on hotels, I say come.

The disappointment began upon arrival and continued until it finally ended. The receptionist was incredibly rude and insolent. He tried to sabotage our reservation to get a discount, charging us the difference in price because we'd purchased a double room through Hotels.com, even though we'd purchased one. The rooms they forced us into were single beds overlooking a stairwell, lacking a refrigerator, hairdryer, kettle, or even towels. When we asked the receptionist to speak to someone in charge, he refused, saying, "I'm the only one in charge here!" If you wanted to call reception, you had to call the hotel on your mobile phone because the room phone wasn't working. When we told them we were going to complain to Hotels.com, they did everything they could to make our stay a living hell. The breakfast was terrible. The food wasn't fresh. Everything was out in the open and smelled. There was no milk, yogurt, or even coffee. The cleanliness was spotless. When we wanted coffee, we were told they had a coffee machine, but they had unplugged it to prevent customers from using it. When we asked, they said it was broken. They didn't clean our room for three days. Don't go in the pool anyway; it smells of urine. There are no umbrellas. The shower is filthy and the water is out. Everyone who stays at this hotel regrets it, and everyone who leaves is happy to leave. I wish I had stayed at a guesthouse instead of this hotel, at least it would have been clean. Don't be fooled by its location, that's its only advantage. Don't waste your money. I bet all their customers think the same.

The hotel was simply a disgrace. When we tried to book a room for one night, we explained that we couldn't come for breakfast early, and they said it would be between 8 and 10 a.m. However, when we arrived, we learned that a group of people had arrived on holiday and breakfast had been moved up to 7 or 9 a.m. The room we were given was already used, with dust and dirt on the floor, soap unwrapped and used, and toilet paper unrolled and used. Furthermore, one of the three beds had a pillow that smelled of perfume, so it was obvious it had been used. When we went downstairs to tell them about this and requested a new room, they told us there were no other rooms available (we had to go downstairs because the phone in the room wasn't working). They then sent the cleaning staff. The brunette lady who first arrived was very polite, but the blonde woman who arrived was quite rude and harsh, as if it were our fault. As we stood exhausted in a corner of the filthy room, she started ordering us about where to stand, and if she could, she would have kicked us out (we waited on the balcony while she vacuumed). Then she put the towels in the room on the table with dirty glass stains. When we asked if they would change the towels, she said "You'll have to make do with that, I don't have any other towels, I'm changing the sheets anyway." When I asked how we could be sure the towels were clean, she didn't even bother to answer. Then, when we wanted to leave the room while they were cleaning, she said "Take your valuables with you, I won't accept responsibility" and we had to take all our belongings back to the elevator and go back down (of which there were 2 elevators, one of which was blocked). When we explained this disgrace to the reception, asked for a refund and said we were going to go to another hotel, they said "Let's give you a bigger room" and offered a new room. Luckily, the new room wasn't bad, except for the floors being still dusty and dirty. We didn't want to make a big deal out of this, which was only for one day, and we were going to forget about it and continue our holiday, but when we went down for breakfast at 8 in the morning, we were greeted with a really bad breakfast. There were only boiled eggs, a menemen floating in water, a few types of cheese, unwashed greens that turned into a handful of soil when we put them in our mouths, and ready-made pasteurized jams. Feeling we weren't going to be full, we bought cereal and biscuits. They were so stale they stuck to the plate, and we couldn't eat them either, leaving us starving. Then, when we wanted to check out around 10:30, we discovered that the only elevator they had had was closed because the group had already left. So we had to carry our luggage down the stairs ourselves, which we had done ourselves. I should also add that there wasn't even a decent parking space, so we had to park our car in the parking lot. I don't think these reviews were written by guests, as we had chosen based on reviews. We would never recommend them; they ruined our holiday.
