KC Hotel San José

We had such a wonderful experience at the KC Hotel in San José, Costa Rica. From the moment we arrived, the hospitality and warmth of the staff made us feel instantly at ease. The property itself is charming—quiet, clean, and well-maintained, with a lovely pool and comfortable rooms that offered a perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring the city. What truly set our stay apart, though, was the staff—especially Karol. She went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Whether it was helping us navigate local transportation, recommending great places to eat, or simply greeting us each day with a warm smile, Karol made us feel more like friends than guests. Her kindness and attentiveness transformed our visit into something truly special. KC Hotel became our home away from home in San José. We’re so grateful to the entire team for making our stay so memorable, and we wouldn’t hesitate to come back. Highly recommended!

Everything we needed! This hotel was a very reasonable price and conveniently located a short walk to park, restaurants, and markets. It has a nice warm pool and gym. Breakfast was great. We had quite a few beverages and snacks that needed to keep cool, so we asked the front desk if there was a fridge available and they brought a mini fridge to our room ( no charge)! The day we checked out we had an excursion booked and a very late flight. They allowed us to store our bags and then return and use the very nice gym with showers to get ready to travel. It was everything we needed and more than we expected, especially for such an affordable rate. The service exceeds that of most 5 star hotels. Highly recommend! P. S. You have to read the sign by the pool, so funny!

Not sure if we were unlucky but the rooms are nothing like the ones pictured 🥸 the premises are run down and very *very* old. The beds are ok but everything else really needs a refresher and a thorough clean! The pool area and restaurant are pleasant though and the breakfast is good. Overall the we expected much better so it was not a hit for us unfortunately.
