Keenans Boutique Hotel

This is a lovely small hotel on the Shannon. The place was buzzing when we arrived there on a Saturday evening. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was top class, with a bathrobe and lovely Irish owned toiletries in the room. The breakfast was top class with plenty of choice. Will definitely be back.

This is our happy place. Second time of staying here. Great atmosphere, excellent food and staff are so friendly and attentive. The full Irish Breakfast is amazing. As the Terminator says "I'll be back" Thanks a million for a great stay - highly recommended.

We were very disappointed. We booked a table by the window in advance to celebrate our wedding anniversary. When we arrived, no one acknowledged the reservation – the bartender simply directed us to the pub area and we were seated randomly. So what’s the point of asking for a name and details when booking, if no one bothers to check or care? The food was also disappointing. The duck from the daily menu was tough, dry, and hard to chew – it tasted like reheated leftovers. Not once did anyone come over to ask if the food was okay or if we needed anything. The service was cold, and the staff showed no interest in the customer experience. For that reason, we didn’t leave a tip. We won’t be coming back, and we won’t recommend this place to anyone.
