Kempinski Hotel Chengdu

Excellent stay at this high end hotel. The only criticism would be that it’s not that centrally located. However, the facilities more than compensate for that. From check in to check out, the bilingual reception staff were charming and comfortable with both English and Chinese. Room was spacious, fastidiously clean and the little design flourishes added to the overall experience. If one is comfortable with the location this is the place to stay.

Great service and very clean room. Comfortable bed, quiet at night, and a wide variety of tasty breakfast options. We went for a belated birthday, and the hotel prepared lovely bed decorations and a thoughtful card such a nice touch! Highly recommended!

My room was quite small but clean. Iced chocolate and a cocktail tasted really bad. Indeed, it was the worst iced chocolate I’ve ever had. It tasted like a milk diluted with water. Also, I’m a platinum member with GHA discovery. I’m always recognised by every hotel in the group. I ordered food and drinks here, but was informed that there’s no discount.
