Kempinski Palace Engelberg

Beautiful place to stay. Thank you to the ‘ladies in red’ and their team for making our stay special. The rooms were classy and clean. The food was excellent. The scenery was wonderful. If you’re visiting Mount Pilatus, it’s worth staying here for a day or two at least.

Most luxurious stay in Switzerland for us. We enjoyed every bit of it as a family. The staff goes out of the way to make it a luxury stay. The concierge was very helpful and knowledgeable. The room is equipped with everything you need with a touch of finesse. The food is awesome. The location couldn’t be better. There’s a kids playground right behind the hotel seemingly their backyard and Ann even better kids club with loving staff. The pool is unbeatable with an amazing view. You could visit Brunni/Titlis/Trubsee for activities year around.

The hotel is 5 stars but the spa was 2 stars. While waiting for my masseuse two workers began arguing at the desk. Unfortunately the angry worker was my masseuse and quickly turned her anger towards me. She argued with me about the pressure of the massage, stood over me while I signed the bill (watching me fill out the tip) and also didn’t want to apply the 20% off to the bill. The whole experience was not relaxing, I left feeling tense and like a punished child. In summary: the hotel is luxurious and 5 stars but the spa was 2 stars, at best.
